MSF SA HIV/TB Clinical Training Course

Airport Transfer: Arranged by Green Elephant guest house, but please be prepared to take a taxi in the event of a pickup difficulty.

What to bring:
- Stethoscope
- Driver’s licence: if you have one, and if you’d like to make use of a hire car during your stay. (recommended for sightseeing around Cape Town)

Clothing:
- Warm clothes for winter (May-Aug): temperatures 7 °C min to 15°C - 25 °C max
- Summer: (Nov-Feb) temps 15 °C min to 30 °C max
- Raincoat or umbrella (for winter rainfall)
- Relatively neat/smart clothes and closed shoes for hospital time (open collared shirts and neat trousers for guys are fine). Otherwise jeans etc are okay.
- Hats, comfortable walking shoes, shorts, bathing suits, suntan cream for touring/ mountain climbing on weekends.
- Some materials and information about your mission as well as digital photos, if possible. We have a session where trainees give input on their projects to the Khayelitsha team, as well as a short discussion. A brief Power Point presentation would be great if you areable to produce one.
