Globally, tuberculosis (TB) kills more than a million people a year... While the disease is treatable, drug-resistant strains which are immune to all major drugs are emerging and are increasing... South Africa has not been spared from the disease and it is on the third position of the most estimated TB cases arising in 2012... Meera Senthilingham, CNN journalist visited Doctors Without Borders (MSF SA) projects in Khayelitsha where TB patients receive treatment from the organisation in March and gives some of the insights on TB in South Africa.
