Watsan (mapping sources of water)

After seeing many cases of diarrhoea coming from a same area of the district, the MSF’s watsan team decided to map the water sources used by the community. The activity allows the team to understand if the consumption of contaminated water is the cause of the diarrhoea cases and to plan interventions that can contain outbreaks of waterborne diseases. The support of community agents is paramount to talk to the community and to trace their habits concerning water fetching. The team talked to people and investigated water wells.
