War-wounded and trauma patients

Between March 2015 and October 2018, MSF treated more than 91,000 war wounded due to the violence in the country. This number includes not only soldiers and combatants, but also civilians caught at the frontline or in hospitals, markets and their own homes. Doctors Without Borders (MSF) provides life-saving medical care to people based only on need – irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation. On the frontlines, our fieldworkers are courageous and committed doctors, nurses and other medical professionals. They focus on adapting care to the needs of people facing crises.
