Report on the Integration of TB and HIV services in Ubuntu clinic, Khayelitsha

This report presents the findings after one year of integration of TB and HIV services at Site B “Ubuntu” Clinic in Khayelitsha.

The rationale for the project is explored, together with the progress that has been made to date.

The rapid increase in patient number for both TB and HIV services in Khayelitsha and Site B is presented with 1 in 4 sexually active adults assumed to be HIV-infected and a passive TB case-finding rate exceeding 1,000/100,000.
