In late July, a study in The Lancet published the positive results of a vaccine against Ebola, rVSV-EBOV. It was tested on the families of infected individuals and medical staff exposed to the virus in Donka Ebola treatment centre, in Conakry, Guinea. Every person who comes here to be vaccinated is first required to sign a consent form. This is because here they are running a clinical trial, designed to test out the Ebola vaccine.

Doctors Without Borders (MSF), which is taking part in the clinical trial, has already vaccinated over 1,200 people working in the frontline against the disease.
