 Millions of dollars have been pledged to fight the scourge of TB and TB-HIV in the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) region… Doctors Without Borders (MSF) called for a more dynamic response to tackle the threat of multi-drug resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB)… “Fast and accurate diagnosis is rarely available, and worldwide only about one in five people actually get effective drug-resistant TB treatment. This is due to a combination of lacking diagnostic tools, outdated treatment and centralised treatment programmes,” MSF’s Dr Marc Gastellu Etchegorry, said.
