East Aleppo continues to bleed due to the indiscriminate bombings. Over the past three months, every functioning hospital in east Aleppo (all supported by MSF, among other organisations) has been damaged by bombings. Many of them had to close temporarily. At least 23 attacks have been recorded in this period on the mentioned facilities. The people of east Aleppo have been living under siege since July. An estimated 250,000 people are effectively trapped. The population – and crucially, the war-wounded and seriously ill – have no way out. The vital food and medical supplies they need to survive cannot get in.
