Rohingya Refugee Crisis

Health Survey in Kutupalong and Balukhali Refugee Settlements, Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh

The scale of death and violence in Myanmar remains difficult to quantify with independent access to Rakhine blocked by the government. However, MSF conducted a mortality survey in camps in Cox’s Bazar to get a clearer picture of the crisis following the influx of more than 647,000 refugees from Myanmar over the border into Bangladesh. It shows an increase in violence and coordinated attacks since August 25 by the Myanmar military, Police and local militias, against Rohingya living in Rakhine.
