An MSF team was able to reach the town of Banki, near the border with Cameroon. Approximately 15,000 people displaced by the conflict are living isolated and cut off in this half-destroyed town. As many as one in 12 of the population may have died in the last six months. Nearly one in three children is malnourished.

To meet the immediate needs of the population, MSF has provided emergency food assistance.
