Panama
Doctors Without Borders (MSF) teams had been providing medical and mental health care to people who crossed the Darién Gap, on the southern Panama border, as they moved along the Central American migration route.
Following changes to migration policies in the region since the beginning of 2025, the number of people on the migration route decreased significantly, leading us to end our programmes after four years in the country.
