Since 2014, the lavender-coloured building on Eastlands’ Juja Road has housed a 24/7 emergency department in addition to the longer-standing sexual violence clinic, providing cost-free care to people living precariously in the Mathare and Eastleigh slum areas.
Nigeria: Rann Bombing Anniversary
On January 17th 2018, it will be one year since the town of Rann, Nigeria was bombed by the Nigerian air force. At least 90 people were killed and scores more were wounded.
6 Nigerian Red Cross personnel and three employees of a Cameroonian firm who was hired by MSF tragically also lost their lives in the bombing. MSF was deeply saddened and shocked by this tragedy. Today we remember the victims.
