HIV: ‘The Secret Circle’

‘The Secret Circle’ chronicles the stories of adolescents living with HIV and their struggles with discovering and disclosing their HIV status and staying on lifelong treatment.

The book, written by MSF Personnel Development Manager Elizabeth Kawadza in collaboration with MSF’s team in Zimbabwe, assures young people living with HIV that they are not alone and that they can live positive healthy lives with HIV.

The storyline highlights the negative effects of HIV stigma and discrimination, and the importance of testing for HIV and adhering properly to treatment. It is considered appropriate educational material for sensitizing adolescents of the ‘need to know’ of their HIV status, empowering them to make informed decisions whether they have been sexually active or not
