MSF Zimbabwe Newsletter: June 2018
MSF Zimbabwe newsletter is a bi-annual newsletter that highlights MSF’s medical activities in Zimbabwe.
This edition, covering December 2017 to June 2018, includes updates on MSF’s cervical cancer activities in Gutu, a rational response to treating non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in Chipinge, water, and sanitation solutions, and a response to sexual violence in Harare, and an update on DR-TB activities in Mutare.
In Zimbabwe, MSF works in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC), Ministry of Public Service, Labour, and Social Welfare, and the City of Harare health department to provide treatment, care, and support for people living with HIV, drug-resistant TB (DR-TB) and non-communicable diseases (NCDs) like asthma, hypertension, and diabetes.
MSF also provides support for cervical cancer prevention and early treatment, survivors of sexual violence, returned migrants, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) interventions, adolescent sexual and reproductive health services and emergency preparedness. MSF projects are currently located in Beitbridge, Chipinge, Gutu, Harare, Mutare, and Mwenezi.
